  • Unique spacing profiles

Classic picket, double picket and puppy picket, so the fence can be open or tight without changing style.

  • Weather-tested for wind and pool codes

Catalyst's claim for the high-grade aluminum and the powder-coat finish together.

  • An optional puppy picket

The reason this style is the one we quote for dog owners more than any other.

  • Three colors, not one

Black, Bronze and White, where most aluminum styles chart black alone.

  • A finish that is baked on

Every aluminum component is powder coated before assembly, so there are no bare spots, and SolarGuard® keeps the color from fading.

  • Made by Catalyst, installed by us

Catalyst Fence Solutions manufactures the Lexington, and the image above is its product visualization, not a photograph of a Chonko Construction job. We are the installing builder.

The Lexington is offered in one tier and three colors.

Heights 3, 3 1/2, 4, 4 1/2, 5 and 6 feet. Catalyst lists additional finishes through a sales representative.

  • checkPanel widths. 6 and 8 feet. Walk gates and drive gates are built to match the panel, and we set post depth and spacing to the height you choose. The 8 foot width is Premium grade only.

Pick the Lexington when you want one style to cover the whole property.

A pool and a boundary

Six heights from one style means the pool enclosure and the property line can match.

A dog

The puppy picket is built in as an option rather than bolted on.

A house that is not black-trimmed

Bronze and White are both offered, which matters against a warm brick or a white-trimmed house.

  • air

A decorative top. If a flat top is too plain, Newcastle adds a spear and Orleans adds finials and rings.

These are the parts we order and set.

Three finials. Triad, Quad and Fleur-de-lis finials sit on the post in place of a flat cap.

Rail adornments. Butterfly scrolls and circles mount into the rails themselves, which is what separates a decorative aluminum run from a plain one.

  • check_circle

The solar cap lights the line. Catalyst's Solar Post Cap puts off-the-grid landscape lighting on the posts, with no wiring to run.

  • check_circle

Pick it with the style. The cap is the part of the fence you see at eye level from the house. We price the caps with the panels, so it is one number rather than a change order later.

For the Lexington, the number moves with linear footage first, then the height you choose (3 to 6 ft), the gates, and the ground the posts go into. The full breakdown of what moves an aluminum fence price is on the aluminum fence page; we set the exact figure in writing after we walk the property.

Want real numbers? Our aluminum fence cost guide breaks down what an aluminum fence runs per linear foot in the Midlands, and the all-materials fence cost guide compares it to the other fence types. Whatever your number, it is set in the contract before any post hole is dug.

Warranty and Who Installs It

Two warranties cover a Lexington we install.

Manufacturer warranty

Catalyst backs its fence with a transferable limited lifetime warranty; the warranty document carries the terms.

Named workmanship warranty

Chonko Construction is a licensed home builder, license #52210, and the installation carries our named workmanship warranty.

Installed by Chonko Construction

Licensed South Carolina home builder, SC Residential Builders License #52210. One contract covers the panels, the posts, the gates and the installer.

Aluminum in the Midlands

Aluminum is the low-fuss fence for the Midlands.

  • Humidity. Aluminum does not rust, and the powder coat is baked on.
  • Heat. Summer heat does nothing to it.
  • Wind. Open pickets let storm wind through, so the panels carry less load than a solid fence, and the posts are set in concrete to hold the line.

Frequently Asked Questions

Is the Lexington pool code compliant?add

Catalyst states it is weather-tested to meet high wind and pool codes. Pool barrier code turns on height, gaps and gate hardware, so we check the code for your address and specify a height and gate that meet it before anything is ordered.

What is a puppy picket?add

A lower section with closer-spaced pickets, so a small dog cannot slip through while the fence above keeps its normal spacing.

Which colors does the Lexington come in?add

Black, Bronze and White. Catalyst offers further powder-coat finishes through a sales representative.

What is a flat top aluminum fence?add

The Lexington is the widest-range aluminum picket in the line: six heights, three colors, and picket spacings to suit the job. The Lexington is Catalyst Fence Solutions' version of it, and Chonko Construction installs it across Columbia and the Midlands under one written contract.

What heights does the Lexington come in?add

3 to 6 ft. We match the height to the job: privacy and pool code want the taller end, a front-yard boundary usually wants the shorter.

Can the Lexington be installed on a slope?add

Yes. On a grade we rack or step the panels so the fence follows the slope and stays level, and we show you which approach fits before any post is set.
